On Monday, October 13, 2008, a cicada lands on Hammie's nose. Zoe, who had been bragging that she had ice cream, screamed and dropped her ice cream. Hammie was able to catch it, and he thinks to himself "I think I have a new best friend," while smiling and staring at the cicada.
Hammie keeps the cicada on his nose until Thursday, October 16, when it decided to fly away. Hammie wasn't dissappointed because he said Zoe was starting to get used to it.
